2016 Wong Forum in Medicine at McMaster University

Dr. Samantha Nutt, an accomplished alumna of McMaster University, delivered a thought-provoking lecture during the annual Henry & Sylvia Wong Forum in Medicine held on April 13, 2016. Her talk was entitled, “Health Care Professionals as Advocates: Lessons from the Trenches.”

Dr. Nutt, a physician and founder of War Child Canada, emphasized the importance of advocating for vulnerable populations, especially in conflict zones. She shared her experiences working in war-torn regions and highlighted the immense challenges faced by health care providers in such contexts.
