We are delighted to announce the recipients of the 2024 Dr. Henry and Sylvia Wong Scholarship for the Chinese Benevolent Association (CBA) Chinese School in Stockton. This year, the scholarship has been awarded to three outstanding students:
- Kennis Huang
- Ryann Jian
- Daryl Liang
The Dr. Henry and Sylvia Wong Scholarship is an ongoing annual initiative aimed at recognizing and supporting students who exhibit academic excellence, leadership qualities, and a commitment to their community.
Scholarship applicants are evaluated based on a range of criteria, including:
- Academic performance (such as GPA and class rank).
- Leadership roles in school, clubs, sports, and other organizations.
- Community involvement and volunteer work, reflecting their dedication to serving others.
- A personal essay, highlighting how their Chinese heritage has shaped their lives and aspirations.
- Letters of recommendation and official transcripts that attest to their character and achievements.
The recipients of this prestigious scholarship exemplify these values, and we are confident they will continue to contribute positively to their communities and beyond.
Congratulations to Kennis, Ryann, and Daryl on this well-deserved recognition! We are proud of your achievements and look forward to seeing all that you will accomplish in the future.
